I'm still here! lol. It has been...a lot. Community work is no joke. lol. I got busy organizing a big birthday bash for my parents in Nov, and also organizing a Filipino/a/x winter arts festival that will be held this weekend. I also got interviewed at CBC where I spoke about the importance of holding the Philippine government accountable. I'm doing all these while working full time at the Healing Lodge, where I am also interviewing for a leadership role.
Still sober! It's been easy staying sober because I've re(dis)covered that my basic core is joy, awareness, and easy. I feel like using would just be too complicated. Too much. Too hard. And I just don't have the energy for it anymore.
I just want things to be easy, like a breeze.
So, yes, still sober. Still very much aware of my surroundings. Still taking it easy and relaxing.
I'll leave you with one of my favourite songs that got me through my early struggles with sobriety. I felt that I needed to have a fighting spirit, and this song gave me fuel to persevere.
